My army is based on cavalry and it's hard to siege a castle with them so i want to make a new army of infantry+archers. Is there any way to leave my cavalry soldiers in some castle or something, so i can now hire new soldiers, but take my cavalry back again when i need them?

Once you acquired a Castle or Town you can garrison your troops there. However, heavy cavalry, especially Swadian Knights are suitable enough for a siege since they will finally overcome your opponents.

Yes it is advisable to keep them rather than go and get infantry. But since you insist, if you already own a castle, then garrison them in there. If not, I'm afraid you're stuck with them.

I tried taking a castle that hadabout 100 men army inside, won the battle but lost about half of my army, that seemed too much for me so i didnt save it :$

Thats not too bad. Difficulty? And how many troops do you have? What are they?

If you're losing more than 20 troops like I say in every other thread... something is wrong. It's all about tactics. I leap over the line and attack them from behind after taking down the enemies archers while my men try to make it up the ramp. I might lose a dozen before the battle is over, but never more than that. I have a feeling a lot of people are trying to fight it out on top of the ramps. Sitting there will result in you losing a lot of your men.

One of the most important parts of any siege is to clear the ladder top.  Like Lord Shields said, if you let your troops sit at the top of the ladder they'll be arrowed to death and then the lead ones will be hacked away.  Swadians Knights are especially bad for this, they are tanks and when they take out a defender they are just too slow to advance and gain ground, defenders come back in to fill the spot and more of your knights will die over time.
