Can I keep my town?

I'v been a vassal for the nords for a time and we are with no dubt the most powerful nation with pretty much no threats. I own about halv of all the towns in the nation and now I wanna leave and start my own faction. will they let me keep anything or do i have to start a war to get some towns?

Bonus question - how likely is it that the Nords attack me? got good (100) relation with them and are a good friend of King Ragnar.

The nords will immediately be at war with you. Plus all the other factions unless you have a lot of right to rule.

If you decide to simply leave, you will lose all of your fiefs. To keep them, you have to rebel by keeping a fief you conqered  and asked for, when the king gave it to someone else instead.

yup if you ask that the castle/town be awarded to you, either you gets it or you will get a message from your king stating that he wont grant you the fief. Thats were you can choose to either accept his will or demand that you have been wronged. Next step you then get the choice to hand over ALL your fiefs to the kingdom as a prize for keeping the peace between you and him or you can choose to rule all of your land, and rebel against them. That will immediatly give you your own faction, but also makes you at war with youre old faction. So be sure to have the man power for the struggle ahead, cause other factions will also go at war with you since you declare yourself a monarch and heir to the throne of Calradia. (keep in mind, you will lose all the villages that you dont own the towns/castles for) The third option is begging for forgiveness from your liege. I hope that this feedback helped you.
