Can I get a wife as my own faction?

I'm also guessing that you must have either a Castle/City of your own, no 'borrowing' an allies, to host a feast?  I'm still at the 'lonely' single village level but I'm making great headway with wooing a Lady from a large family in KoVaegirs (daddy say's go for it and she seems amiable to my charms).  And I just have this feeling I'll go and get married before I can manage getting a Castle.

Actually, I've found that if you marry someone while still only having 1 village, your wife will stay at the capital of your faction, and you may hold feasts there. When you do get a city or castle, she will move there promptly.

I remember I held quite a few feasts at Shariz before I captured and was given Dhirim to rule.

Yes, you can. Of course, you'll have to find a feast, and elope with her, unless you convert her father or brother to your faction, in which case, she will join your faction also. At least, I think that's how it works.

Yeah, my lords had their families with them when they joined my kingdom. I was already married, but I'd assume if they join your faction you'd be able to marry them.

Hmm, interesting, I got count vashlin to join me and he has one helluva large family, I plan on stealing her away or something, but both of their relations are negative....
