Can I get a Joust!

The jousting in this game owns...I gotta say, prolly the best mounted combat gameplay I've ever experienced...but how freaking tight would it be to add a Jousting tourney mode with brackets...just like in say the movie Knights tale...just a 1 v 1 joust with the little rail in the middle etc with the typical jousting point system...I think this would be really fun...maybe have 16 man tourneys with big entrance fees, and nice prizes...

tournys should definately be expanded upon, these people were the celebrities of their times, fame and fortune galore for those who took part, would be nice to see the odd grand tourny hosted in game

I would aslo like to pick if in am archer mounted archer swords man ETC and i think some things should be cheper like padded armor same protection as nomad armor but it cost more

Yes, making the tournaments more realistic and festive would be excellent. Also, having the various tournament games would be cool too. Not just a pit fight, which is basically what it is now. Jousting would rock, though for sure.

Well the joust fight would only work if you were to fall in one hit. If not, make it a timed minigame.

Hmm, well, given massive damage dealt by lances and ride-by swings (when you have decent skills and weapons) - it's quite possible.

i would like to see some things a bit more expensive. if you get your "favourite" equipment even faster than now, than there will be nothing to do afterwards!

so i would suggest to make the "price-range" bigger!!! the crap should get cheaper! and the good stuff should get more expensive!

I agree that the crap armor/weapons/horses should cost less, but I think that the good stuff should cost the same as it does now.

Well the joust fight would only work if you were to fall in one hit.

Not really...if you had a minigame format that wasn't timed, but say had a limit of 3 passes....Using a broken lance (or simply a "hit") scoring format that considers where hits are placed, whether to the body (1 pt) or to the head (2 pts) Play to see which knight gets to 3 pts first or dehorses the other knight...after 3 passes the knight with the most pts wins...and if you hit squarely enough you can dehorse the opponent and you win their horse...We would have to constuct a new environment for the touney but something as simple as some ropes and stakes would do...(with constrictions on crossing into your opponent's lane of course)...I really would like to see a whole story line open up where you might even be able to joust for a living...just go from town to town compete in touneys...(tourney's can have a schedule that you must abide by to make it to a certain place by a certain time in order to compete) with tons of NPC's that all compete in these different tourneys. As in real tourneys, you have to supply your own equipment. Maybe the squire class can have a low level "tourney lance" that you can start with to allow you to participate in the joust from the beginning...you can have a whole line of tourney lances that are available to purchase and upgrade your damage...

Just some ideas...

What'd be awesome if it was like a traditional joust. keep the wooden post down the middle and have the two ride at eachother. If you get knocked off your horse, you and the other guy sword fight it out. If the lance breaks, you get a point.

A Knights Tale was wrong with the lance thing, but getting knocked off and having a fight to the death would be a tad extreme for that movie.

the whole system is already in place, all we would need is that map... Hell thats what I do when im fighting lead enemies to a nice flat land and go back and forth killing people with my lance... i love that warrider damage!Q
