Can I become a King being vassal?

So if I vassal, can I do some conspiracy with the other lords, or marry kings daughter than execute him?

Or it always through the rebel faction? I mean, can I become the King of East Saxa or any other existing faction? Or only my own new faction.

Basically, you can. Revolt, take over the boundaries of the kingdom, call your realm 'East Seaxna' and name yourself Cyning, then go about bribing the lords back (with their old land) or putting new ones in their place. This is basically what happens when anyone takes over a kingdom, using the Norman invasion of England as an example, England was conquered by the Normans, but it was still more or less the same Kingdom, it just had a new court and a new King.

Imagine anyone who would say you were not in fact the King of East Saxony would have their head on a pike or live in exile, a measure of Kingship, if any.
