Camp, fire, songs and... bandits!

I often set up a camp during the night to let my party heal. So often, a bunch of looters/bandits/deserters tries to attack it. But it's always the same kind of combat: both sides coming at each other like in any fight.

Instead of this, we could have a map with a camp (tent, fire, sentry, horses sleeping) and enemy trying to sneak into the perimeter. Everybody is on foot and if someone want to mount a horse, he/she has to reach it without getting killed.

 
I've always wanted that as well. I would also like to be able to do more in camp, make it seem more alive, and more than just a small menu.

I know you can go into the camp, but all you see is your troops in a line. It would be nice to see camp set up and the men doing random things. Give it more atmosphere.
 
This needs more animations - sitting by the fire, cleaning weapon, tending to the fire, in conversation, roasting something in the fire, more idle animations etc.

I'd like that. These could also be used to bring some more life to owns and villages.

As to sneaking, that would require lots of work, new animations, new mechanisms (sneaking, awareness, stealth kills), perhaps a new skill.
 
And lords who camp too? Maybe then we can attack them too when they camp, and u will get two choises, ambush them like u said, and sneak in to kill the lord ( when u get caught its just like sneaking in a city, only it would be a camp?)?
 
Actually, there are no need for new animations, make it simple: a random map with a campfire, a couple of tents and the enemies are already in the place fighting with our party.
