I know some people wanted a bit of a change from the usual Mount and Blade combat so I've created a new mod called Calradia, the 16th Century. The story goes like this:

After several hundred years, gunpowder has finally reached Calradia. The Ancient Kingdoms of Swadia and the Vaegirs are the first to harness the power of gunpowder and have incorporated it into the majority of their troops. The Kingdom of Swadia is now the most powerful kingdom and has the largest army of pistol-wielding men. The Kingdom of Vaegirs has a small troop upgrade list but is well developed. The Kingdom of Nords has strengthened hugely to combat Swadia's rising and features the Nord Huscarl, the most powerful normal unit in the game at level 75! (the strongest actual unit in the game is King Harlaus but you can't recruit him. He's level 115! ) The Kingdom of Rhodoks has given up on training its infantry and now has very powerful crossbowmen armies to combat Swadia's gunmen. Finally, the Khergit Khanate has grown much stronger and is the only kingdom to still use horses extensively.

  • Mod moves forward towards the 18th and 19th centuries
  • Swadia becomes more like the British Empire, the Khergits like the Chinese, the Rhodoks like the French etc..
  • If you can think of anything else, I'd like to know!

Note:
If you don't seem to be getting many recruits at the villages, then open up the scripts notepad file in the Calradia, the 16th Century module folder and find the update_volunteer_troops_in_village script and paste this entire piece of text over it. It should fix the problem and you should be recuiting heaps of people (up to 100)

Thanks for the screen, looks like a good start!
So, the plan is basically to keep the "regular" world of Caladria, but move it onto a gunpowder age?
 
A. im willing to help test but thats as far as my abilities go
B. Make sure gun shots down veer to downward something i notice is guns are made to have about a range of half a field it should be made more straight shot but less accurate maybe 70 accuracy

C. perhaps a skill for guns where each level slightly increases reload time and have a slowl reload time base

Idea:
Can you change the arena battles aswell? since you wont be using poleweapons alot anymore.

Question:
Will there be future patches for this mod? or are you just releasing one?

Yes, its just the native mod, just tweaked with guns  :grin:

EDIT:
After playing for a while, I noticed these things:
- Its not the 16th century. If u go to the map, it still says 12xx
- There is no skill for firearms

Just some plain stuff :wink:
If you're gonna "Repair" those things, good luck.

General Darius
The reload idea is already kind of in place because troops are given specific guns already and the reload times are drastically different. So an army of lieutenant generals is going to shoot at about 3 or 4 times the speed of an army of privates... they'll decimate them! Better guns also do much more damage... to the point of one-shot kills. As for the accuracy, the troops get quite terrible once you change the accuracy. I tried it, but anything less than 90 makes privates and corporals miss 95% of the time, so there's no point!

Multibullets
Yes I will change the arena battles. It'll come out in the next version. So yes, there will be more versions. And yes I will try to change the map writing. As for the firearms skill, there is one, it's just hidden. I have no idea how to make it appear... it's got to do with the hardcoding of the game.

Don't bother saying sorry. I would appreciate help if you could find some more sophisticated gun textures and or uniforms (like the British Empire), and would appreciate it if you could find a way to integrate them into the game.
 
I have no idea. It should be in the repository though. And thanks for the help!

If you're going to make something, try some white, red, and navy blue guns (like English rifles) for the Swadian faction. And maybe some traditional English uniforms. I'll change all their damage, accuracy etc. so don't worry about all that Python work. Thanks for your support!
