Why not do something original?

How about they set a story involving British Units (They did more with the Germans than anyone else) in France retreating. Then the option to play as a German soldier and take France and maybe one novelty level where you are a French soldier. I don't think anyone has focused on the Invasion of France for a game. Or the Invasion of Norway. Or the Invasion of Crete. All of those would be great and at least semi-original.

Agreed, but I do want to have a Pacific Game too. The battlefield series does not count.
@Worbah: I want to play the winter war too. Could be done for Red Orchestra maybe.

I read somewhere that it will also be focused on the Eastern European battle. Although probably not from a Finnish view point unfortunately.

I'm not liking the gratuitous overuse of swords on the part of our oriental enemies. It's like they think the entire pacific theatre revolved around Japanese officers doing desperate charges with family swords.

The Winter War was part of World War II, considering it started three months after Hitler's invasion of Poland. Just because the Soviet Union didn't want to waste its scant resources the entire war through on fighting Finnish hicks dug in so deep you couldn't take them out with a pneumatic drill, doesn't mean it wasn't part of World War II.
