Buying Warband

Hey guys. Dunno if this is the current forum i am posting in. Hope so.
So, i have been playing the trial version of Warband and want to buy the full version. Only, i want to buy the DVD rather than buy it digitally. So i got a few doubts about it.
I intend to get the latest version of warband. So when buying the DVD, how do i ensure that i get the latest version?
And i hear that regularly new patches are available which updates the game. So will the patches update the game if i have the DVD?
Also, if a new version is released after i buy the DVD, can i update for free through the internet or do i have to pay?
And yeah. I intend to also get the cRPG mod. So is it free. And which server should i play in? I live in India.

No worries mate, you can download patches for free no matter what. Besides Warband is not updated often these days.
