But seriously, let's put Slings back in this game.

Is it time to put Slings back in at least for Captain mode, if not all modes?

I' m supporting it, but I wonder... why is it so difficult for them to create a proper animation? :meh:

To be honest, I would rather not have slings at all than with that animation.
These videos show a technic more accurate to real warfare use of the sling:

Also the stones should be bigger, more like tennis ball sized since there are sources (not medieval but clasical) that states their weight being one mina (600g).
The lenght should be more too. Not less than six spans (1'41m) according to Sylloge Tacticorum.
Other ammunition types like bladed glandes could be interesting but I think that only stones were in use during the middle ages.

All bannerlord animations are motion capture. So I'm guessed TW don't want to fork out for more cap studio time just to record the one sling animation.

A huge shame - would have been a really nice option for a low level ranged unit.

Technically they have a room for the exclusive use of motion capture within the office (plausible according to this 2014 devblog & this from 2018). Could it be that all janitorial equipment is stored in that room?... it could be :iamamoron:.

The "in office" motion capture room

If so, it is a real waste of resources not to have made use and I quote from the devblog:
[...] All of our hits are calculated precisely, so if, for example, a sword swing animation shifts the shoulder forward an inch, then swords will have an inch more range, (which will have an effect on the calculation). That is obviously something that will affect gameplay directly and requires extra care, as well as constant reworking, in order to get right. [...]

If "recently" the kick animation was rebuilt why other animations like these sling weapon uses or call me audacious, the total overhaul of swing arcs and other mounted weapon strikes (yes, glaive I'm looking at you) have not been worthy to place in that room?
