Is bullfighting Okay? I've been looking at some videos of it now, and I have to say it's pretty ****ing exciting to watch, but none the less I feel sorry for the bulls. And I have to say those bullfighters are some crazy ****ers!

But is this a sport that belongs in our "civilized" world? You can say that the bulls at least get to have some action in their lives compared to your regular meat cow living it's life in a barn doing nothing but getting fat. But I don't think that's a valid excuse for this cruelty.

For those who doesn't know, bullfighting pretty much consist of stabbing the bull a few times with spears so it gets angry, then taunt him until he gets tired and finish him of with a foil (sword). There also seems to be some other and more friendly variants though. These guys are crazy, but at least they don't kill the bull. Don't know what to say about that tail dragging at the end there though.

Bullfighting from horse back. The white horse is amazing!

Taunting pt1
The ending pt2

Watching the second video there I noticed how much I dislike bullfighting. Really makes me feel sorry for that bull. Notice the stuff on the bulls back? Yeah that's javelins. Damned humans and their games!
Bullfighting in Mexico, the horse gets it this time.

This is just cruelty! Poor horsey!

I think it's barbaric, but I can understand why people get the adrenalin rush. I personally don't think it's right to kill an animal in such a way for no apparent reason apart from fun. I also believe the person who gets enjoyment from committing those acts needs help.

I don't mind the bull fighting when they don't kill the bull. Do you know when a bunch of idiots run around trying to grab rings off the bulls head like in the Camargue.

Let the idiots have some fun. Besides sometimes the bull makes a kill. So it's not all bad

It's debatable. These bulls are treated like royalty their whole lives. Maybe that compensates for the short period of agony they have to endure in the end.

Do ya have a larger version of this. It would make a cool db

It's better than the way the farming industry is going. Not that I think the idea of slaughtering animals as wrong, but having animals in so small cages that they can never move in their entire, miserable lives, force feeding them etc seems far worse. In 100 years we'll probably be raising square, organic meat "packages" that are genetically engineered pigs.

The classic 'quality of life' argument transposed to animals.

100 years? I'd give it 50, if that. We're practically there right now, with some of the pig breeds.

I actually found a Bullfighting Ring in S. Korea if you can believe that.

It was in a middle of nowhere town, that i can't remember the name of.  About an hour away from Geoji island.  I had no idea it was popular over there.

On the sport itself.  I think it would be a great sport that would draw more spectators if they didn't actually Kill the bull at the end.

But you can't kill a bull with Starcraft

I'm sorry that was just too good an opportunity to pass up...

Disgusting, shameful, idiotic barbarism. There's no excuse. Of course, it's hypocritical of carnivores to make a big complaint about it - most of your steaks have been through at least as bad during their former lifetimes. That's still not an excuse.
