When firearm bullets hit an object that is not an NPC, can we make it emit particles upon impact?

*looks at the general direction of Highlander*

you could replace the standard arrow stuck in wall model with a one loop animation of some particles spraying

the particles spraying would have to be designated as an npc with the default animation being some particles spraying....kinda weird.

It is to my knowledge that firearm projectiles disappear upon impact.

They don't, a little cartridge thing sticks on (sideways ). It might not be too hard when we get the module system, look at the dummies.

You mean like when it hits a wall or something?
Like Buxton said, look at the code for the dummies. You can use the ti_on_scene_prop_hit (or something like that) for the scene props you want for this. In this trigger the game stores the position of the impact in pos1. There you can create a particle effect.
Unfortunatelly you cannot do this for trees or the earth, because they are not scene props.
I've tried adding bullet holes using the bullet model (like said above), but that doesn't give a good result.
