Building of own kingdom

I am traying to build my own kingdom. So far I always played any mod as some vassal of some king. I have one my own castle and village but I don't know how to attract and acquire another lords for my cause. Up to the present time no dialogs here have led to recruiting further lords. Did I overlook anything? A would appreciate any hints and advices.

It's also good to have good relations with the surrounding villages and lords of the faction you take you castle in. If you get your standing to, say, +10 with every village around your castle before taking it, and your standing with at least half of the lords of the faction you took you castle in to like 30 so they are friendly with you, it makes life a lot easier.

When you lose a lot of soldiers, you can recruit large amounts from the city you are friendly with. If your standing with the village is 0, then at most they will give you 3 or 4 troops to recruit. If your standing is 30+, they give you 20 troops each time.

A dreamstart was a Castle besieged by a Rival Faction in the Center of a friendly faction. It makes so easy to hold your fief and Garrison good Troops. So you can look out for good opportunities. And you can Garrison save the Lords you catch.

Also dont become someones vassal because all the other factions are declaring war on you and beating up your towns really badly and such.

Cause then that person gets all that territory you worked hard for if you leave it again.

This has been a cool part of this mod.  I got ticked and Renounced my lord when he decided to not give me a castle.  But then everyone hated me.  So I eventually got with another faction and became their vassal, and brought 3 castles with me.  O fcourse this guy is not giving me the castles I have been crushing but it's been an interesting game of changing factions and reacting to the game as it goes.  Nice job on this mod man, I've enjoyed it very much.

Yes, I have done this.  Also if you have vassals when you go back to another kingdom one of two things happen.  If they have a holding themselves they keep it, in my game they stayed dark blue and were part of my "old" kingdom.  If they are landless they sem to eventually join up with another faction which gives that faction another lord.  I've actually created and disbanded a player kingdom twice in one game which has made a bit of a mess of the kingdom system.  On the second time I created a kingdom the three knights I had from the first showed up in my kingdom options list but they belonged to another faction.  That was a suprise when I gave knight Altman one of my castles and it went over to the Nords.  The reason I stopped being my own kingdom was the constant attacks by every faction on the map.  It was fun for a bit but my modest kingdom was getting slowly ground down, then morale in my party started to suffer and my carefully constructed companion force began to bicker, etc, etc.  Now I am back with the Vaegirs but I think I have confused the game a bit as I still hold a couple of my old feifs with dark blue names and hold several Vaegir fiefs with orange names.  I got a message stating I had again made the kingdoms mad for having a kingdom in my own name but they are not assaulting me on sight.  If I start this game again I'll avoid the vassal thing if I want to create my own kingdom.
