Almost every time I run Vikingr, I get an error that a newer version is available(9.747 or something like that) and that I have the older, 1.143. I know this is untrue, and that this is a bug, but it gets annoying. It's usually fixed when I restart Vikingr, and is not a big deal. But I thought it's something you should know about.

I can post a screenshot, but I don't think it's necessary. Everything there is to know I explained here.

EDIT: Also, my Vikingr shortcut is a white piece of paper.

If you get that error it means the game somehow didn't start with WSE.

I'm aware about the shortcut being rather boring. You can fix this by right clicking -> properties -> shortcut tab -> change icon... -> find your vikingr install file and select that one I will try to fix it for the next update!

Having the same problem, only with me, it doesn't go away?
Should I just reinstal Vikingr?

You should make sure you start the game with WSE. The (blank) shortcut on your desktop should do this, or you can start it via the WSELoader in the Vikingr/WSE folder. (if it doesn't find your warband executable you should try putting all the WSE stuff in the main warban folder)

Title speaks for itself really, im trying to go multilayer and it wont load any servers... first time i encountered this.

Anyone has an idea of why something like this would happen?
I checked if my firewall is accidentally blocking it, and it is not...

Does it happen for all the servers or only the Vikingr ones? Make sure to turn off the filters, it might be that they are just not populated at this time and get filtered out...

It happened to all the servers... but it works now.

I didn't really do anything, not to cause it nor to stop it.
Seems random as hell!

If I understood right theres a main server that gives you access to all the game servers, maybe you just couldn't reach that one, so none of the game servers showed for you. If you don't mind I will just merge this topic with the Bugs & other problems thread, because we don't really have any solution or long-term strategies in this discussion which would make it worth its own thread to look up in the future.

Also, i dont think that was the problem because i had seen the vikingr server in my "favorites" i just couldn't select it!

Storskogen map doesn't work fine with me. It runs slow and laggy, and that may be due to the high number of trees...still, there are plenty wood-themed maps and this is the only one which give me problems.
The water is broken as well.
