Alright, so I started a new game as Villanese. Withing the first few minutes of every fight I go into, Mount and Blade crashes. This hasn't been with just looters or a specific group it's been everything. Also on occasions when I save I get a runtime error and the program closes. I'd appreciate any help with the many crashing issues.

Looks like some installation corruption. Everything works fine here. I have no crashes, I just tested fight VIllianese vs Looters and everything seems to be perfect.

So should i just redownload it or did the upload fail?

Hmm, then maybe it was a installation corruption like Von said? I'll try a reinstall I suppose and hope for the best.
 
If instead of dialogue you see "str somethingsomething" (this str is the most important here to indentifying the bug) then it's peobably because you use non english MnB version. I also have this bug but rest of the team doesn't.

Yeah, just had that runtime error again while saving. Also a CTD during a fight after a reinstall

Well I can assure you we have done nothing to the saving :smile: Even if we want to we couldn't so it must be something wrong with the installation (whole MnB perhaps).
 
cant toggle recruitment settings. it always stays at 'homeland troops'. nothing happens when i click to toggle to recruit native.

Usually MnB crashes because the PC is too burdened. Unfortunately MnB is very demanding even for modern machines. On top of that SoD adds almost 600 MB of new content so this might be too much sometimes.

Thanks for report. I checked and indeed there is code error there and the switch doesn't work.

np. i can further elaborate :

currently 'recruit calradian units' link works like a turn om switch for turning om debugging messages.

the toggling of debugging messages works normal from its own toggle link. however recruit calradian units link is like an extra turn on switch.

Yep, that's exactly what I saw in the code :wink: I could release the patch but It's too minor right now. Let's wait maybe something else comes up. It will be save game compatibile anyway. And everybody knows I don't like this feature so it may even look like sabotage :wink:

No mate, unless you consider being a general pain in the ass to get some of Kt0's and Twans stuff all in this version by nagging them, credit worthy  :mrgreen:

Maybe a burden on the game engine but my machine runs M&B with anything and everything maxed at around 70 - 80 fps. Regardless, I haven't had any more crashes, it could have just been something that happened during the battle.
 
Actually... My M&B crashes unexpactly everywhere. Before i reconfigurated battle size (80% of my standard size, ie 200 from 250) I had crashes every(edit: ok, not every, but enough to make it more than annoying) big battle. Now battles are safe.
Also M&B like to crash in random places.... Last one was when i ried to reload a game.

I've made small conclusion:
CTD are there because of the SoD size. Thats i think the biggest mod i know, maybe biggest ever (f.e. look at the textures and models), so every little bug or underdevelopment of M&B module system, mostly i think models and texture handling has a decent chance of showing up.t

Well, that can't be.  I'm running an English mnb version and I get those str things too.
