I had my laptop laying around with that saved game and just tried this and it didn't work when I loaded my existing save. (Get the same unexpected error for the Simple_triggers.txt)

I have a feeling it may be because the rest penalty on my save shows a -10 since it got reactivated by mistake when I used a different computer, so when I try to disable it again by doing this change mentioned above it will still cause a crash and "unexpected end to the file" message for the simple_triggers.txt. So thanks again for trying on this, but it is what it is I guess and lesson learned, on making sure both my computers have the same files!, lol.

Hello first post in the forums...! Fantastic mod i love it....!  But i have a little problem: i followed Ibidil's instructions for deleting  the rest moral trigger and it gives me  a  CTD  when i'm loadaing my game or when i start  a new one..:  RGL Error Unexpected End of file while reading file:Modules\Brytenwalda\simple_triggers.txt
Do you have any idea why this is happening..?

Obviously, as mentioned already loading an existing game you may be screwed on, but you can easily start a new game with this change with no problems. The only thing you need to do is on top of the simple_triggers.txt file you'll see a number 143 just change that number to 142 and you should be fine to start a new game.


 
i dont have the screeny, or dont know if its just me, i installed 3 times. but that town...cruaghan? (think its spelled that way) when attacking/defending, has fallen trees in the air.

so im guessing the other similar castle stuff have that too.

ps. props on bebbanburg, read a book on it, and its pretty accurate gamewise.

You're using Polished Landscapes (PL), right?  In native it looks fine, but with PL flora can look strange.

If they are teulu, they are infantry with horses.

They were equites, rather well paid ones.
Anyway it didn't seem to happen again, and right now the guys are long dead and buried. If it ever happens again i'll try to send a screen.
It was a quite minor bug, anyway  :grin:

It was the job where the Guildmaster says 'some bandits attacked a caravan near .....' and asks you to hunt them down.  After re-reading the message, I had the following thought.  It had been a few days since he first offered me the job and when I accepted it.  Is it possible that something happened that there was no longer an eligible bandit party that the mission could target?  I know that when I have taken this mission in the past, sometimes a gray (i.e. regular) bandit group that is visible to me will all of a sudden turn blue (i.e. become the quest object), is it possible that when I finally took the mission that the group it would have targeted was destroyed, or that by that time there was no eligible bandit group in the appropriate area, leading to the error message?
 
Hello again, I'm now a vassal for Bernaccia and I fought twice against the Alt Clut (I think they're called) in the former Bernaccian castle of Ad Gefrin (or something like that), and after each successfull assault I got a CTD. "The program has stopped responding" or something like that. Also, the special orders and formations doesn't seem to work in sieges or when you're assaulted in your own camp (while looting, burying, waiting etc.).
I also helped out my fellow allies a few times and I didn't get an opportunity to decide what I wanted to do with the bodies (IIRC at least one was a Patrol).

I didn't have a chance to defend in a siege again though.

Well i just downloaded the mod so i decided to just take the tutorial just in case of a difference of the regular M&b and i noticed that picking up weapons is buggy.
When you start with the rider trainer, you can pick up the arena spear before, but if you accept the training it floats in the air and you are unable to pick it up.
If you pick it up before starting the training its fine and you are able to finish it, but then you accept the next training and he asks you to get a starter bow which isn't there at all (You don't see the big pointing arrow you normally get either). So you are unable to do the tutorial properly at all.

Same goes for the archery training, he first asks you to pick up a training spear (which works fine), then he asks you to pick up arrows which are floating in the air again and you are unable to even start the first training.

The sparring practise works fine though.


I don't think these are game breaking or anything, but for people who wanna do the tutorial its annoying.
Not sure how many do tutorials though.

Adorno, can this be scene_props problem?
I looked at this. It can't be fixed with scene editing. The problem is simply that the weapons used for practice have been replaced.
So instead of a bow there is a spear, instead of arrows there are javelins etc.
I'm guessing you could look at the code for what weapons spawn, and change it back...
 
After a while Trade agreements and the like, began taking 30 weeks to finish instead of 30 days.
 
I've been getting tons of errors in battle. Not sure how to find screenshots that I took. What folder do they go to after having been taken?
 
So, do I press ctrl+ins to take the screen shot?
I can't find a 'documents' folder in the Brytenwalda module, should I be looking somewhere else for it?

No, I meant your documents folder in Windows (I presume that's your operating system.)
Pressing ctrl + insert buttons will take a screenshot and save it in the folder called Mount&Blade Warband Screenshots.

You can also press 'print screen' button but then you'll have to open a graphics program - like Paint - insert the picture and save it.
If you have Picasa you can open that and every time you press 'print screen' a screenshot will automatically be saved under 'screen captures' (in Picasa). 
 
Hey, I just got Warband yesterday and played native all day :mrgreen: I decided to try Brytenwalda today and I have really enjoyed it so far, there is a lot more action (more bandits  :cool: ). I can see a lot of work has gone into this mod so thanks for making it.

I have only come across 3 minor bugs so far:

1) I took a 'Escort Caravan' job and every time i talked to the caravan the face of the NPC changed (the quest worked fine)

2) In the Pict, Angles and Irish upgrade tree the archer unit (bottom right) does not show any information when clicked.

3) I met a guy in a Tavern (next time i see him i will post his name) who had really awkward dialog, i asked him about a Treasure and the two of us had a really random conversation and eventually he told me to go f*** myself i think :razz:

The English in the mod is pretty good overall but I have a plenty of spare time so if you would like a hand with translating\polishing up conversations or any piece of text i am happy to help.

I also get a bug in the arena, everybody begins with a invisible weapon including me, it looks like everybody has a super nasty punch.

hi

i have a problem. i have already taken a look in the other tread with help, but i could not find anything that could help me so im posting it her.

my problem is that when i open the game, when the "play tutrail", "start a new game", OSV
it says that it cant find the texts, and they wont come up

anyone that can help me her?

just a question, i went to every town with the teleport thing, and i cant find Domnail and Congol. as listed in the companion thread. are they there? or not a tavern companion?

and new companions from that chart on page 2 or 3?
