Unless you already have 9 saves (max) you should be able to choose 'save as' and save game in a new slot. Nothing has changed there.
 
1) Training Troops via the Constable is broken:

My COnstable trained a Sceotand Engle (which aren't upgradeable anyway) to Efendor (that's the name of my Character). Now I have a clone of mine sitting in my castle. I can't move him in my army though. He is stuck there.


2) The screen that shows how much troops you can have (through renown, base size, Leadership etc.) shows a lower number than the actual party size

On another note: This ain't a bug but more of a suggestion:

3) I think armies are too huge. Maybe it is more realistic, that lords didn't have small troops of 60- 100 men, but game playwise seeing almost every second lord running around with 300 - 400 troops is too much. In addition recruiting men is too easy. I have three villages with good relations, and I always get 20 - 30 warriors every day from one of these three villages. That means I can raise an army of 160 - 180 men in about two days through these 3 villages alone. I'd suggest lower the number of volunteers that join, and the "respawn" rate (every 3 days or so).

Oh, and troops are too cheap. I'd raise the upkeep cost about two times they are now. I don't even know what to do with all the money  I have.

A mirror Download from filefront or something would be nice. The repository is complete **** for me, It'd take me 6 hours to download this at the speed I get from it, which is about 10 kb/s as compared to my normal 90 kb/s.

1) they were some equivalent of sea raiders from native - bandit party with "ship captain" unit (Eastern England faction). Everyone had simple round shield, but you can't hit their legs for sure.

They are high quality warriors (dena or frankis, most dena than frankish)

2) You could make brokers pay more for prisoners - still some interest to look for them. Right now, If you got your neighbors pissed off, your only hope to sell prisoners is their spawn in one of 2 your faction's city.

Actually, prisioners system add level to price, if you have high quality troops, they pay most for him

sometimes more than 20 at the same time. Kind of similar to the Lord's Defect Spam. Overall this makes the game feel more "gamey" and less dynamic -as if this is just some trigger firing rather than a true political climate.

I do not know what frequency of war and peace would you have (you should have intervals of between 20 and 40 days), but you'd be surprised about the policy and as the friend of yesterday, tomorrow is your enemy and vice versa.

If you guys could find a way to tie these types of events into the actual goings on of the game, well that would a whole new layer of manipulating the world around you type strategy

We have add historical relations to begin of game. By example, Mierce and Bernaccia are enemies, but Warband have a high component of freedom in relationships and agreements, with the intention that each game is different  :???:

Might it just be easier to give us the BattleCommand map for after we fall?
You have fall. How can you give orders?
Charge is possible because your troops want revenge you.

Adorno, i think that you are talk about merchant quest (where it spam lair), but, if i mean well, makute is doing lord quest. It dont spam new lair here, you need meet dena landings (ship icon - east anglia kingdom generally) and attack. If you dont see dena landing, you have wait or do others thing while.

Paying for recruiting recruits from villages is weird: The menu says "6 Gebur Saxons will join (48 Scilingas)" but then I only pay 6 Scillingas. So the next always says more than I actually pay.

On another note: Recruting, upgrading an weekly cost of units is too low. I almost drown in money!

What relation have you with that village?

too low? upgrading is double than native (we have down a few it last version), recruting is most down or most up like your relation is with village, and weekly cost was down because betatesters want it.

I think that diplomacy mod team is work in this problem.

It is a army  :grin: Lords have most troops if it have most reputation. We can down it, add most relation requisite, but it will be to player also.

I will look village problem, if we add most respawn time i think that will be most realist

I can´t even start m&b wb up with this mode on... it just loads and loads. I´ve got version 1.31. plz help
 
it late 3 or 4 minutes first time, but if it late most, it is problem. We think that it can be Win7 (or Vista) conflict. If you can, try it with xp mode.

It can be some problem with old texture (we are change all them, but we need time)

I have win 7. what is xp mode?
 
Win 7 have emulate xp for programs that need XP system. I havent look much it (i use XP yet)

It depends of your W7 version :wink: If you have on of the highest versions, you got this XP-mode, but otherwise: NO
 
I've got this weird bug where sometimes (Usually when faction announcements come up) that it's telling me I'm paused and then the next half second I'm not, and it does the change really fast and keeps doing it for about 5 seconds.

Also, while waiting for the pirates, I noticed that my relations with every faction were getting higher, though I'm doing nothing, literally. Is this intended? If so, I think it should be toned down or disabled entirely.

I'm running the game with PL in Win7 Ultimate and it works fine, just crashed once while Alt-tabbing. Got a bit lag on certain locations, but that's all. Try updating the video drivers (if you're an ATI user, stick with v10.5) and set your virtual memory to, at least, the same amount of your RAM. In general terms, M&B needs a lot of RAM, and with less than 2 GB you will need to disable some options, like ragdolls or corpses.

And remember, always use the last version of the mod, AND do a clean installation, NEVER overwrite the old one.
 
Pathfinding problem for saving village mission at Ad Candidad Casam. Most of my men + farmer stuck at 2 big rock near house. In the end, i'm forced to finished all the bandit by myself.
 
Hello everyone,

first of all: thank you for this great mod.  :wink:

Now to the problem: I still have the old factions from Native in the game. They all appear in the south where the Saxons should be (all Saxon and one Angles factions are lacking).
The NPC's and the towns (some even in the New factions) also have their old names.
I reinstalled the mod but the problem is still there.

Sorry if my englisch is somewhat terrible...i tried my best. :wink:

Bandit lair is random, if you see too dena pirates in a zone, they have lair near, but it can late.

It has some problems with scenes.

It is problem in your language patch, you need game read english in mod.

Argh, there are several rocks in Ad Candidad Casam, so I removed all the ones close to houses. Problem solved  :mrgreen:

no I have XP sp3 - You maybe didnt notice "spoiler" in my post, where is my rgl_log after crash...

but I think that the problem is in PL - I make new instalation without PL and continue in my campaign in ireland and i have had long serial of camp attack by scottish riders ( whose density in ireland is quite high) with no CTD.

And one questions: Why bandits (outlaws, dena pirate, franks... ) didnt attack any caravan?

 
After 8-10 bandit party, every time i kill a group of bandit i can't get their loot anymore, after casualties report it proceed to show empty loot screen. No more choice about what i want to do with their body/loot. In my casualties report if i have no casualties, it said you shouldn't reading this.

It's going back to normal after restarting MBW  :shock:
