Errr hmmm - yeah that may have been it.

Just joined a tourney in Roarksdale and can bet was coming back to report that, but then yeah I guess my character was bit low on funds. Sorry for false report.

Marshals quests tends to screw up often.
The report to marshal is quite common, however last time I had a scout quest, I scouted all locations and was going to report to marshal but my quest got canceled ^^.
Probably that idiot ended the campaing and went for a feast like always ...

Is anyone else having trouble getting their archers to spread out or get closer? I have a small all-Xbowmen party, and they won't respond to either command, but will do if I command my non-existent infantry to do it...

Quest getting cancelled isn't a bug caused by this mod but a native problem! Imagine you get the task to buy or steal cattle and in the meantime the retarded marshal lays siege. The siege cancelles the quest you've been given. The same goes for scouting.

Yeah its normal I got info on going to marshal just to get it canceled 10 seconds later cause he went to battle from siege mode.

I put a looter in my garrison and my constable trained him into me now there is a clone of me in my castle should I be worried he will try to over throw me?

This has probably been mentioned,
but I get error messages when entering the town of Genoa, the Tavern specifically.

Also getting the "Party has nothing to Eat" even though I have food.

The same.
Overall, I'm spammed with cryptic or alltogether nonsensical message on the world map, that make me even less aware of relevant info and what's going on than usual.
Kinda reminds me of my Uni mail inbox, actually.

Yeah I reported the party has no food message a page or two back.

It seems (repeat seems) that the report is given if you have food that is already eaten on.

If my character loads up on food that is new (full points) then the message is not given, but a day or two later and even 10 points are taken off the dried meat then I get the message. Normally with 50 strong I keep 6 rows of a variety of food (don't like running out).

I too have noticed sluggishness with archers lining up.

Overall I like the autoformation at the start of combat, but do not understand the logic of having archers in front - shouldn't the infantry be up front to absorb the impact of horses barreling at them and therefore leave the archers free to do what they do best.

What I do is set the infantry in front and closer together then 20 paces back the archers in a line then set the cavalry to follow me and after I notice the front ranks of the enemy going for my infantry I then flank their back archers and move my cavalry back through their archers to meet my infantry and finish them off.

I think this set-up was chosen with the real world in mind. I mean, having your skirmishers / ranged unit at the start makes sense... WHEN they bloody know how to withdraw, i.e. actually turning around, running back past the infantry, and then turning around again, instead of bloody walking backward at a snail pace like they do in M&B.
Besides, if you are on a flat terrain, you might indeed want the archers in front, and the infantry 10 paces behind, making them charge when the enemy infantry has reacher 20 paces away from your archers.

Anyway:

I know this is a bit off topic (sorry), but I'm not sure I agree. Archers become very weak infantry when the enemies are too close and so having either cavalry or infantry hit them before your real infantry will mean loss of a great many of them. While having archers in the rear means they can still offer their strongest support.

At first I was concerned that the archers would be hitting my own troops, but after testing which should be first I found overall I lose less men with infantry in front. In fact I found consistently less loss by doing that. Besides infantry=life of a grunt.

Likewise having cavalry set to follow me is the best way to maintain control of that group who would normally get slaughtered if they ran headlong into the enemy front ranks. At a certain point though I just hit 0 then F1 then F3 anyway - controls don't allow for much fine tuning.

I had these same errers but it made my game crash. When i restarted the game and loaded my saved file the game crashed. :???:

I have lost three accounts to this problem and it is really annoying because I dont wanna play any other mod!!!

Can someone help me!??!?

I couldn't do the starter quest.  One of the enemies spawned inside a building in Rome, so nobody could kill him.

The only way to fix this yourself is enable cheats then press CTRL-F4 I have cheats enabled for things like this cause it tends to happen a lot.

I had this happen as well, what I did was leave the town and then re-enter and it then resolved the quest.
