Bug: naval battle helping someone turns into underwater battle

Well, I think the title says it all, but anyway... some images.

I rush to help some fishermen who are being attacked by pirates or so. Note that we all are on the sea.

I had the same problem.  Slavers and vikingrs were fighting and I rushed to help the slavers and then started under water.  I pressed "tab" and it brought me out of the battle as though I won, but it did a lot of weird things to the two groups like neither were actually hurt but took each other prisoner too.

Of course.
