I was trying to marry a Lord's daughter. And I was in the trade menu but even with my vast wealth, it could not compare to the million of gold my lord had. So I canceled the trade screen. And I got charm and one more skill that I don't remember. I tried it again and once again my charm increased. It happened every time I backed out of the trade screen.
