Bug/Glitch/Quirk List Revisited

This will be a list I update as I either come across new bugs/glitches/quirks or remember them:

Dialogue -

-Many instances have spelling errors or <inputs> and or <values> that don’t coincide with the game. For instance, referring to many of the male Lords and “you’re Madame”.

-I did the “three month” mercenary service. You know…follow the leader…get some cows…follow the leader…the whole thing. Come three months and…nothing. Other than odd dialogue errors that popped a window citing a C++ error; no mercenary work completion. An updating countdown ticker in the quest tab would be a great addition.

-More on the mercenary work, the pay. 100 Denar per week, I pay more in troop wages. Hell, I pay more in food to feed these gluttonous bastards per week. Usually when people take up the life of a mercenary they’re expecting some serious shinnies’ to compensate for putting their butts on the line…and following the “leader”…endlessly.

-I’ve successfully rebelled, so then why is King X still King X and not demoted much less “off with his head”?

-During my stint as a Nord mercenary, I was given a quest to raid Nord caravans by a Nord lord in order to ignite a war with the Nords. Other than sabotaging my relations by either declining to take the quest or raid the caravans I was supposed to be protecting, I would’ve like to see a bit of Nord on Nord action.

Player Owned Property -

-Building times; I think they take too long. 60 days. 90 days. Seems a bit long…or maybe things are just too easy. I don’t know.

-Castles and Cities. Sorry, with my limited cap on my army size and dire hit to party morale because of the “large” amount of members I can’t allow any of my men to stay and protect you. I suggest an increasing in the army limit cap (Charisma, Leadership, and Renown) and perhaps an option to draft/recruit men and even train them at the castles and cities.

-Raided Villages. Is it just me or are they not rebuilding themselves anymore... Usually people tend to pick up and rebuild but these guys seem content sitting there in their aerated hovel.

Sieges –

-Castle walls need to be trimmed down to allow for some effectiveness with archery combat (on both sides but mainly for those attacking). Have you tried shooting at the X amount of crossbowmen or archers that flood the walls? After picking off a few the rest are blocked by obscene wall values yet they can fire through.

-Floating damage, the bane of my character’s existence. What kills you during a siege? The hundreds of men looking to lampoon you in any manner of ways? No. Rather, falling damage due to glitches.

-Multiple entry points are sorely needed.

-Starving out those whom are beneath me from their glass walls seems to be a bit tedious as it will take 99 days... Especially with no options of poisoning a water supply, raiding, Trojan horses, or the like.

Combat –

-AI Gangbang, are my allies retarded? Usually, when there are a few enemies left and I have (uncontrollable) allies on the field they tend to get themselves into a circle frenzy wherein for some reason the enemy AI become nigh invincible.

-Delivered 0 damage…for the eight time…in a row…with a giant bastard sword. At first I thought this might have been an implementation due to the countless time an enemy AI’s little stick failed to pierce through my tin-can platemail outfit. Then I realized that the enemy AI are wearing some skimpy leather jerkins, of which, I should be cutting through like butter. What gives?

-UI Lag. Every so often I’ll go into battle only to see my User Interface (big chat box spamming deaths) 5-10 minutes too late.

Book Reading -

-Ok so I read most of the books under one character then started a new character and what is this? The books are already at 100% reading progress… No the new character wasn’t an import.

Dynamic AI -

-Bandits, Looters, and Deserters (apart from being a severe pain in the start) fail in the respect that no amount of shinnies can entice them to join me…or perhaps go/spawn somewhere else. I mean, we can pay them pennies to leave us alone but that’s it…nothing else…I don’t know about you but I feel a bit constricted in this our open-ended universe.

-AI thought process behind surrendering during sieges:
Enemies left:20
You and Allies:300

"Surrender now or forever hold your peace!"

"Aha we can hold out forever with all this food for us"

"...prepare the one ladder"

"Gasp"

Relations -

-I applaud you for simulating the real life environment of not being able to please everybody rather piss them off with ease. For example, rebelling and dealing with those wretched greedy lords.

“Hey Crass, ole’ buddy who do you think I should give Suno too?”

“Well I’m glad you’re asking ME? Since I’m the future king and all if I can manage to pull off this rebellion for YOU… Really, who is wearing the pants in this kingdom?”

“…so who do you think I should give Suno too?”

“Sigh, I don’t know…why don’t you take it?”

“Alright”

Relations with all the lords have decreased from 0 to -20

All good points, most of which have already been complained about - excellent exposition, though.  (And you should probably post the book issue in the bug reports; I'm sure Armagan et al. would appreciate it.)

I've never had any problems with the party cap. Of course, I'm pouring renown from every orifice, so I guess that's why I can trot around with a few hundred knights and still have room for more.

I've just started tooling around with .951, so we'll see how it holds up. Pre-.951 I had ~500 renown and still could only get about 60 troops before trying to balance the hit to party morale and please those testy recruitable npcs.

I just ran into this one... 7 battles in a row!

It is impossibly annoying! Can take up to half an hour for it to resolve itself since I can't order around ally troops anymore.

Anybody have a workaround or somesuch? I'm playing as vaegirs, this has only occurred when fighting Swadians so far...

Really, suggestions go here:

The melee for fun part in the arena has a very frustrating quirk: the AI sometimes decides to go only after you. Becomes a bit of a pain when half a dozen NPC's suddenly spawn and they all rush you and ignore one another. They should simply fight what's closest to them.
