Resolved Bug e1.4.1 hotfix - Deliver Herd (steppe horses), horses in inventory not recognized

This MUST be a new bug, since I've done several "Deliver Herd" quests before, incl horses.

Summary: SP, independent, non-merc, Khuzait culture, Quest from Khuzait village ---> deliver to Khuzait town.
New game since latest update, clan tier 2, 4/4 companions

Arrived (Balthakhand), have 27 steppe horses (am to deliver 10), found NPC in target city, horses are not recognized ---> only dialog options: 1. keep herd, 2. I don't have them.

Unfortunately I have NO idea how to trigger this bug or whether this is limited to steppe horses.

Blind guess: I have a lot of concurrent quests: deliver herd, train troops, family feud, army of poachers

UPDATE: Lame Steppe Horses seem to be the cause. Suspicious, I sold the 2 I had, then talked to the NPC again ---> recognized.

Also, when upgrading troops, lame steppe horses are ignored as well (design)?

Btw, if anybody could tell me whether lame horses heal over time, that would be appreciated. (just a yes or no would be nice).

Errh, sorry, already saved over them...I'll see if I can somehow post them the next time I run into a bug.
