[BUG] Computer Restarts From 2 Actions

After pressing T to bring up chat menu while walking so I'd auto walk forward, I alt+tabbed to check my messenger, and it almost instantly restarted my computer, LoL. Out of 4 times doing this it's restarted me twice.

Also, occasionally when holding down tab to look at teams while I'm selecting one (to fill the less populated team), and sometimes while holding down tab and selecting equipment, I'll either get an error message (which I'll take a screen of next time I see it, I forgot to earlier cause I'm tired), or it'll simply make my computer restart again.

I have an AMD Athlon XP 2100+, 1.73GHz and a gig of RAM, I run the game fine on all low settings (I might be able to run it fine above that but I just do it to make sure I'm getting max performance out of it), and in Warband I turn instancing off, and pretty much everything except fast water and I set it to unlimited ragdolls. Not sure what other info you you might need unless you want a dxdiag.

Odds are, you are either overheating, your RAM has gone bad (1 gig is not much to be doing all that your doing. Frankly, with only 1 gig of ram, you shouldnt leave anything open and do one thing at a time), or your PSU is dying.

Hmm, considering that we have 3 threads about computers crashing now, and that we haven't seen any threads about computer crashes before, this may be more than hardware error.

And by the fact that he's able to repeat the crash by doing actions in Warband is also something to consider.

Yeah, its giving it some creedence. However, I still cant believe that it somehow kills your computer's power as if they had lost power. No errors (on crash or reboot), no BSoD, no nothing. Just loss of power. Doesn't that seem weird?

It's very likely there are problems with the code. However both crash threads I've seen are older hardware, and being taxed quite heavily.

Does it only occur when alt-tabbing?

Make sure you have "automatically restart on error" turned off in the system settings. You might also want to open event viewer and see if there's anything recorded in the system log during the crash.

If it only happens when alt tabbing it's probably the videocard. Of course, easy answer is to not alt-tab.

No, it occours in the times in my original post . The tab thing just happened to me again a minute ago. I wasn't alt+tabbing out, I was just holding down tab to check the scoreboard to see what team to join, and I clicked a team while I had tab held down. It instantaneously restarted my computer. No message, nothing. I held tab, clicked, screen went instantly black and rebooted. I can duplicate constantly, like I said it happens about 50 to 75% of the time, I'm just tired and forgot to let go of tab this time.

The other instance was strange in the sence that I hit T to bring up chat window while running, then alt-tabbed just to check my msn quick while I was approaching something and it instantly rebooted there too.

I thought it was an overheat or something like that too, but the only time my computer restarts is in those scenarios. And again, I run the game smoothly on low settings. I very rarely experience choppiness or anything even, it seems to run the game fine, and I've never (even after marathon single player sessions) had my computer restart, or even had it lock up or crash on me. The worst I ever have is when new enemies/reinforcements come in it lags for like 1-2 seconds as they all pop on the screen, that's it. And again, I can duplicate these 2 bugs pretty much at will, same circumstances and all!
