Vonmistont, i seriously reccomend you checking out this Mod/WIP, and consider adding its features to the Sword Of Damocles' background.
Will hugely extend the mod to somthing...wow.

It's been worked into Calradia at War (the only mod I play other than SoD), and although it's rough, I think it would work beautifully with this mod.  Vonmistont?

At this point in time this other mod will not be included into SOD.  Part of the reason is because CS is still in its very infant stages.  Another reason is because it is much more useful for the player to have an updated version of CS.  This means that if its included in the SOD mod it will be more difficult to upgrade, thereby limiting the player.

Regardless, I have already asked for this mod to be included in a number of threads back and Vonmistont has reponded that he is eagerly watching the development of this mod, so if something were to be included, he is already involved in it!  :wink:

On a side note, many people asked the same thing for the More Metal Mod.  Its much easier if people just install that themselves as many prefer to have it installed in their main directory vs. the mod directory.

i din't expect instant implementation either :grin: just tryin to help von keep updated on stuff that is already out ( and therefore is possible and not just a dream idea ) because i believe he cannot keep track of everything that comes out due to his other agendas on personal life.

at least if i was a modder, i'd like if someone could keep me aware.. imagin if he had an idea of making this on his own?
this way WE ALL, fans and moders, save time: instead of building something from scratch, just adjust and adapt stuff that already exists :wink:

am i right? :grin: thanks on the heads up FS, really liked knowing that this mod is being watched over for future implementation! It really adds a lot. everyone who makes a mod from this point on, there are just some things they cannot afford to NOT HAVE in order to be successful and popular

I think eventually Vonmistont *might* add some features from Custom Settelments, but right now we should wait and let it evolve as it has some very good features and I think there are more to come. Some cool things are garrisons in villages, having people in the villages help you fight (not farmers...) and it has a work syestem (gathering resources) which is probably the best part and SoD will probably have similar features.

and not to forget the best faeture that he says he wants to add...

OPTION TO ADD MORE LADDERS IN SIEGES!

That would be a must-have for all mods.

        - hey, no More Ladders Mod? pff Gtfo. "

the one thing on CS that captured my attention were those screens of settlements. They are so big and I really imagine having to fight inside those walls and reatreating to smaller and smaller keeps to defend it!

watching these mods appear must be like watching a kid grow up
 
I think there are some more important things to be included, rather than extending the settlements. The CS still  is a great idea and concept, but I'm more into the battle, killing and stuff at the moment.
 
Custom Settlements has a lot of potential, and I expect great things from it in the future. I downloaded the 0.63 version of it, but it's pretty clear that it's still in the early stages of development. I love it, but mostly I love it for it's future potential, not for what it actually offers right now.
 
CS is a fantastic mod, but it has a long way to go in just the scene-editing before it'd make sense to combine it with other mods that aren't so scene intensive. I play CS from time to time when a new release is out just to see the new cities, but at the moment its got a long way to go before it'll be a full-fledge mod that can be played on its own for long periods of time.
 
CS seems like one of those mods that will have important game play elements that will be added to most mods. Kind of like the more metal sounds and graphics enhancer, except a gameplay enhancer.
 
Wow, that mod looks amazing! How does one go about implementing this stuff anyways. Just makes me speechless!

That is as exactly I hope all modders start seeing it! including von ofc thats the most healty point of view
