As I have said many times I'm

a) waiting for 1.003 module system WITHOUT WHICH THE MOD CAN'T BE DONE.
b) waiting for a BRF edit that is compatible with 1.003 animations WITHOUT WHICH THE MOD CAN'T BE DONE
c) Working on another slightly more traditional but very art heavy mod which is getting a lot more support. Which I'm therefore having more fun working on atm and needs less animation work, plus I have people helping with coding and other such things.
d) working on several other mod projects
e) Being sodding busy in the real world.

So are you still working on it? I know that you are probably focusing your attention more on the other mod. Anyway, do you need any help with things like lego models for the environment, because I have LeoCAD and could do that.

I'm insanely busy with real life at the moment, so I'm not working on anything. And The Peninsular War is getting more help and attention, and doesn't require as much heavy animation work.

I really will come back to this once we get a working BRF edit though. It's too good a concept to drop.

No offense to the modders or any fans of Lego video games, but what's the appeal of this subgenre anyway?  Why play games with blocky Lego characters instead of more realistic ones?

I never cared for Lego people as a kid.  I would always use the bricks to make buildings for my realistic looking toy soldiers, but the people were used for bb gun targets or met other nasty ends.

However, some of us did enjoy them as kids.  I really don't care if you didn't.  Keep your opinions to yourself if they only detract from this mod.

Christ.  Brick and Blade.  I thought this might be another Glesga Mod.

A Lego mod sounds fantastic.  If a Lego mod worked in Operation Flashpoint (hardcore military sim, where such silliness was well out of place) then why not in M&B?  The doubters missed out on the true beauty of lego.

Nice work so far.  Looking forward to it.

Death and gore animations, if possible, are where I think the greatest potential lies.  A high cross swing could result in a severed yellow head with permagrin bouncing along the ground and the body with a peg for a neck slowly falling backward.  A low cut could expose the twin pegs just above the hips still standing stuck to the base mat pegs and leave the torso to fall.  And who could pass up a battle field littered with severed U shaped hands?  All without a drop of blood, of course.    Sheer greatness and I sincerely hope it can come about.
