Bows or Throws?

I find bows the best weapon. I don't like the feel of throwing weapons, and crossbows are just to slow. Once your skill in archery is high enough the bow is a devastating weapon.

bows.. with highest speed possibly and some good archery skill, and youre invincible... o yeas, and some good athletics, then you can take down some kewl peeps on your own...
but when people are far away, i mean FAR away, crossbow is sometimes better..

and when person is in chains(your prisoners) i prefer stones

Bows are fine and good, but is anything more satisfying than burying a throwing axe right in the enemies' forehead?

No it is very satisfying seeing an axe through the guys head whoom took out half of your party it makes you feel a bit like this>

Bows are too easy really. I would rather show my courage up front, close to the enemy.

If you wanna show courage you should go up to them with a knife not a bunch of axes

Nowdays, I usually tend to use all of them, crossbows, bows and throwing weapons.

Crossbows when on foot with my trusty glaive (stab enemy horse and then swing at the rider) or two hander. Quite effective against khergit riders and other mounted units. (needs good landscape, though)

Bows when riding (also on foot), effective against everything, but you need to be careful against those pesky crossbowmen.

Throwing weapons on horseback... I mostly use daggers and jarids, daggers have good damage to size-of-the-bunch ratio, and jarids have (for my oppinion) good throwing arc against other riders. My favourite target for jarids: black khergit riders with bows. Just ride behind and throw jarid through back of their head.
