Bows are killing multiplayer

Well the title says everything 70% of the players on a siege game are playing with archers and is not because it's a "fun" class is because it's broken AF and I've been reporting this since the beta when I play as an archer I feel I'm carrying an m4 insanse acurracy lot of range 0 poke chance. Before you go and say ButTherArEsHields no you can't cover from 20 differente angles or focus on incoming arrows when you're in a mele, and if you try to use a trebuchet or catapult good luck with that you'll feel like Leonidas in the film 300 as you'll get melted down instantly multiplayer has became more of a shooter than a medieval game.
 
Bows being dominant in a siege? I'm shocked :roll:. I don't want to make your concern sound trivial but realistically that's the best strategy rather than sallying out your entire defense or just sit there on your thumb until it is breached. Maybe you just don't like siege.
 
I understand your frustration, we told them since the alpha that shooters are OP. I agree that sometimes it looks more of a shooter game than a medieval game. If you play archer you're a killing machine.

Fun and Balance has to be higher priority than realism imo. Archerbois are a pest in MP currently, but I am sure/i hope there will be unit restrictions or similar in the future.
 
For balancing reasons, maybe there should be a limit on how many archers there can be at any given time. Perhaps a ratio between archer and non-archer classes.

Typically that is the hierarchy TW tries to go for, gameplay first then realism. I have never been too big a fan of siege but I could see some different elements they could do to reduce how bad it is.
 
At the moment the biggest issue is that shield forcefields don't block projectiles in a wide enough range which is why you can often get shot while frontally facing an archer. In Siege the problem is even more present because shields do not have the rotation range to cover in many directions. On most shields you can't even cover the top of your head/body while climbing a ladder.
 
If you want to talk about realism lets talk about the reload speed the ammount of arrows that you would be able to shoot before get tired the ammount of ammo that you are carrying the picking arrows from the ground and the fact that arrows not always deal dmg on armor but yeah, let's just write ARCHERS ARE DOMINANT ON SIEGES and that will do....

Still you've the problem of siege equipment where you can not use a shield to protect yourself and they placed it so that it can be countered from range rather than placing it in a defensive position. And even tho if you look outside of siege I've been jumping 360 with a bow and people couldn't catch me I've been jumping with my horse above people and shooting down and killing people is just retarded of how op it's and easy to use is archer. To be honest this will only make people that is really good in mele go archers shoot you till you die and if you engege them on mele they'll pull a sword swining at the same speed as a normal foot soldier and rekt you anyways

I know I said it on warband but still was somehow managable but this reached the retarded point in bannerlord it's unplayable.
