Bouncing attacks

Not sure what its technically called but your weapon just bounces of their cloth jacket and does barely any damage, is this at all preventable or just an RNG thing?

Bouncing, or Glancing blows happen when you improperly time or distance yourself from your target, resulting in a useless hit.

Just sticking your bayonet in a guy doesn't cut it. It needs to be barrels-deep, not just poking him 1cm through his coat.

Try building up momentum with the attack. The easiest way to do this is to run at them quickly and start the stabbing movement right as soon as you get into range.

Thanks for the advice but I think a lot of time it's just due to 2 players having different pings etc that result in me not being where he sees me to be. Not complaining though because most of the time this works in my favour.
