Bots use the same equipment every time

When I play in multiplayer against AI troops, I noticed that they use the same weapons and armor every single time, even if I use the troop editor and change the equipment of...for example Nord Warrior...I give him Nordic Sword, Nordic Short Sword, Two handed War Axe, Long War Axe, A few One-Handed axes, Javelins, Throwing Spears and axes, Spears and shields, and armors from Leather jerkin to banded armor... In Normal Gameplay, all Nord Warriors would use any combination of this equipment, but in multiplayer, EVERY SINGLE Nord Warrior uses One Handed Battle Axe,Heavy Round Shield,Mail Hauberk, Throwing Axes and Two handed War Axe... Every single one of them...
Is there any way to change this so that Multiplayer AI troops equipm themselves much the same way as in singleplayer mode-completely random...

And I have one more question, is is possible to add a few more Multiplayer AI troops to each faction, not only three, for example, two types of cavalry, three types of infantry etc...
 
It's not a simple change: the single player systems for random equipment can't be used in multi player, so you'd have to change all the equipment setup scripts to add the choices into a slot list and then select randomly, or something similar.
 
Would be nice if bots upgraded equipment according to preferences and were subject to the progressive upgrades human players are, but thats for M&B2 I guess.

I believe bots are stored in a different part of troops.txt or something and they have their own " charachter ", that's what you need to change, and you can't see the equipment or the stats that YOU put, except if the server is hosted by you! :smile:
 
Yes, it can be changed, but it's complicated.  You'd need to script an event in the mission_templates that would force them to use a random selection of weapons.  If you're familiar with Module System, I can show you an example of this kind of operation.

Yes, I'm familiar with module system, but not very much, I use module system for a couple of months and I can do the few basic things as well as some complicated but I don't know for example something that is important like adding triggers into mission_templates...

As for weapon code:
A slight modification of this trigger would do:

Just add a random factor in it.
