Borrowed Troops - TW great game design

TW the unexpected outcome of keeping borrowed troops is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in this game so far. Outcomes that are unexpected and with mixed consequences like this really make the game feel alive and realistic. Fantastic game design, big props.

Even now that I know about it there are certain times it absolutely makes sense, other times it doesn’t, and I don’t know what secondary or tertiary consequences might come up later. This keeps the player calculating, just great design.

I didn’t want to ruin it, but (at least on the Beta) they all convert to nobles of whatever faction you got them from. And yeah you lose relation. I decided to do a rogue character and held onto them to raid a nearby hideout, then had a bunch of Aserai Faris in my party. I tested it out. You can basically start the game with 20 noble recruits if you play your cards right. But keep in mind heavy hit to relations and honor

That's neat. That must be new, or its a low random chance. I've accidentally hit the keep troops a couple times but never got any nobles for it.
