Chapter XIII - Deparature
’’You asked Ulusamai Noyan for personal leave?’’ – Kushi asked Bold who was already putting his shirts into saddlebags. He looked at Kushi with his yellow eyes.
He is serious, Kushi thought He really is serious. What is he up to?
''Yes, Kushi.'' - Bold answered after some time ''I'm planning to leave for a few days, just to rest, that's all. I was in year since march of last year.. I'm planning to rest a bit, to visit my family at Tulga.''
Kushi's eyes widened ''Are you mad? Ogadai wants you dead and you are going to visit your family? That's a suicide! Both for you and your family!''
Bold's face was emotionless. He didn't cared what Kushi said. ''I'm leaving today, Kushi.'' - Bold said while smiling ''And don't worry, I won't visit my family, at least not now. There are other days as well.''
Still, Kushi didn't believed him. I won't let them to kill you, not after they killed your father in front of me.

Sun has set on june 3rd 1257, and Bold was already mounting his horse. He decided to travel in darkness of night. He was planning to travel alone. As he mounted his horse, he started riding, when dark figure in cloak blocked his way.
Who is this now?, Bold thought to himself and drew sword out of it's sheath from his side.
''Who are you?'' - Bold asked that figure using his calm, emotionless deep voice ''Are you coward that much that you can't show your face to me?''
He got no reply.
''Then I'll have to find out myself when I kill you.'' - Bold said pointing his sabre towards stranger. He poked horse with his heels and charged towards the enemy. He made a perfect circle in order to cut enemies head, but after one heartbeat, he was on the ground. Dust was in his mouth and Bold was coughing.
I didn't saw his attack! How?, Bold thought while trying to stand up. Pain in his ribs was horrible, but there were much worse situations than this one.
When he stood up, he saw the same cloak and probably same person he saw two days ago, when three Wolves attacked him. He stepped back two steps, widening his eyes. This was first time he was truly afraid ''Who are you?'' - he asked figure in the black cloak.
Bold suddenly heard smiling ''You are still not able to defeat me.''
He widened his eyes when figure took it's hood off. Kushi.
''What?'' - Bold said with flickering voice ''Kushi.. Why did you...? I thought you were going to kill me!''
Kushi smiled ''Why would I kill you, Bold? Otherwise, I came here to travel with you. Did you really think you will escape from me? I don't think so.''
Bold was furious. But what can he do? He will never persuade Kushi to not follow him, so he gave up ''Ok, you can go then.''
He spat it out barely, and after that he sighed.
''That's good to hear.'' - Kushi replied ''But joking aside, Halmar is dangerous town. Just recently, I killed two of Ogadai's assassins. There are more of them. I feel it.''
Ogadai's assassins... again. Just like two days ago ''Yes, Kushi.. you are right. We should go now.''
After Bold shook off the dust of his clothes, he mounted his horse and two warrios started riding towards Halmar main gates. As they rode, they quickly managed to arrive at Halmar gates, but ten riders, not Khergit guards, were there on their horses, probably waiting for Bold and Kushi.
One of them pointed a finger towards Bold and a moment later, all of riders charged at Bold, drawing their dual blades out of their sheats on their back. Bold and Kushi, with sabres in their hands turned their horses and started riding in heart of the city.
Bold and Kushi were good riders, as they used numerous streets of Halmar to escape the pursuers. After losing the pursuers, two warriors rode behind the prison of Halmar, same prison in which that warrior Desmondes caused prison break. Not only two Boyars escaped that day, but also most of bandits and other prisoners as well.
''How do they know where I am?'' - Bold asked Kushi, whisperring so that assassins wouldn't hear him.
Kushi looked him, his face was still calm and emotionless. How could he be this calm in situation like this? Bold tried to reach emptiness, but failed. It was still hard.
''I don't know. They must have a spy within these walls.'' - Kushi answered Bold's question.
Bold nodded, showing that he is agreeing with Kushi's answer. Spy.. Who could it be?
Kushi jumped off his horse and peered from a corner of prison. He waved his hand showing Bold to bring him his horse. As Bold did it, Kushi mounted his horse and said: ''Southern gates are five hundred paces away, you see?''
Kushi pointed his finger towards almost invisible part of town. Southern gates! How could I forget that?
Two warriors immediately started riding and soon they reached a speed of full gallop. Just a little bit...
Arrows started flying. One almost hit Bold in head, but on his luck, it scratched only his nose. Thank you, Great Father, Bold was thanking when they managed to pass gates. Two guards that were keeping the gates safe were brutally murdered by two assassins. Bold watched all this while galloping, escaping the assasssins. He saw one of them getting mad because of failure and he smiled. They won't catch Bold O'Ginn that easily

As you can see, I started a new game because I lost a save file... Not big changes happened in past savegame and I was lucky that I haven't played a lot (I played only two months in my past save-game) otherwise I would have to abandon this aar...
