Body Drift (AKA Skinny-arms Rob Lowe Syndrome)

Ok so I’ve seen posts with a lot of speculation about what affects character body shape. No matter what I do, after a year or two my character has smaller chest and shoulders than the women in my group. I tried battling every day, so much so that I went out of my way to run down small group of bandits just to get exercise in. I’ve kept my food stores diverse. It bothers me enough that I keep starting over and different strategies with no success.

Regardless of the in game activities that give you build, the resting point should be an average appearance or a chubby appearance.

Instead, the way the system is set up now, all things being equal you drift towards looking like a survivor of an internment camp. These guys melt muscle like butter.

I really don’t like that only the PC is subject to this. And I suspect that it has something to do with the way you develop skills, even though others say it doesn’t.

In the early parts of the game I end up leveling a lot of charm, roguery, tactics and steward just based on how the game works. But even though I have most of my focus points in combat skills they start at about 30 and only go up to about 50-60 before getting hard to level (outside of situations where you wipe 1/2 your army). Now look at most of the empire lords and all the companions with roguery, trading, steward etc. They’re all super slight of build.

Hopefully, this will be changed. Until it is, does anyone know (in earnest) how to avoid skinny-arms rob lowe syndrome? Is there a console command I can use to put some meat back on my guy?

I was wondering about this myself. I've noticed my female character gets kind of flabby, but no belly, when she's pregnant but then she thins out afterward, but other than that I've got no idea what influences it.

If you use mods, Detailed Character Creation gives you the full set of body sliders and prevents those dynamic body changes, but it does some wierd things to the NPCs where they all become super skinny, though it also lets you modify anyone's appearance so you can fix it if you care enough about it.

Hasn't been updated for 1.5.

I noticed we lost every level up some off the basic learning points. Maybe that's it, why the fighting skills are hard to level up.
