Body count (to minimize text)

Many have complained that the info (text) while being
on the battlefield blocks your view to the left if there is too much.
I think so too. But I still need the info such as who gets killed...

So to minimize the text, could there not simply be a body count in lower left corner:
Perhaps something like this?

The yellow dot is simply to indicate that you have improved your skill somehow.
I realise you don't get to know exactly who dies (like "Vaegir marksman killed by...") but I don't have time to read that anyway.
Only thing is that the coloured dots look ugly. perhaps they could be done nicer. Perhaps just coloured numbers...

What do you think? Has it been posted before? I searched but couldn't find anything.

personally, I don't think that's such a great idea. I'd be in favour of lowering the text size, or indeed keeping as is. If it bothers you, go to options and turn it off.

Actually, I'd like to know how badly I'm being beaten or how good my men are doing.
But I don't like the spazzing text of who killed who, I'd prefer it if it let me know it a simplistic fashion as its being suggested, because the game has a tendency to glitch out if you just go back and forth to the tactical overlay to see the results of a skirmish.

But I want to see the text.
This idea also solves the problem of not remembering (or having time to) 'count' how the battle is going.
But if the text was lowered and made smaller I'd be somewhat pleased.

We already have this, anyway. Just press backspace.
I knew someone was going to say that.   :???:
To use the command interface you need to 'leave' the battle
- press backspace twice and if you want to continuously see
how the battle is going, you have to do that a lot. It doesn't work  :???:

I need the info on screen and not blocking my view to the left
(which unfortunately is the same side I use to aim long ranged weapons).

?

I use backspace often whilst in the midst of battle. I never have problems with it, unless I'm charging a bunch of archers.
We're not all kick ass Nords high on mushrooms going berserk

As long as you're a passive fighter (me!), you should have no problem just sitting back and watching the numbers go up.

If you do fight, who cares.

Anyway, IRL, you wouldn't really know in the heat of battle how many people are left.

You wouldn't see the text either.

I actually really, really like this idea. It seems much more constructive, to me, than reading the messages, and it won't fill the entire map. In the midst of battle - when the body count really matters - I don't have ten seconds.

I like my screen totally UI-free, thank you very much.
That's the only disadvantage, so you should also be able to turn 'body-count' off.

(I'll never convince you, will I?  )

Why cant you just show the nr of bodycount without that color circle in the picture..!?
When turned off you get default messages of damage

Everybody happy riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

Yeah, I don't have a problem with the idea if the counters don't look like a traffic light..

Personally, I would much rather have a little box where the text currently is, that you can minimise, enlarge, and scroll through.

You would also be missing the damage you take / hit with a simple 'body count' - not to mention the fact that if you are trying to come up with a strategy, it is very important to keep track of WHO dies - ie. whether your archers need more support from the infantry and the like.
