SO we know that Bodo came from Iberia and is heading to West Seaxe. When we first talk to him he tells us that he is heading to West Seaxe, while we are located just outside Friese. Logic is that If he came all the way from Iberia with a ship he would have stopped at England before reaching Friese right? So we presume that he arrive from Eastern Europe, crossing Scandinavia. How come then the Wodan Ric didn't get butt ♥♥♥♥ed by Raiders on it's way to Friese only to get intercepted near the Frisian shore? If Bodo had reached to Northern Europe via foot, aka through Frankia, it would be pointless to take a ship heading to Friese. He could just go straight in to West Seaxe. That leads me to the question: Where the ♥♥♥♥ did Bodo come from, and more importantly were did the player get on-board the Wodan Ric? Anyone who can come up with an explanation?

My guess is Bodo was headed to Cantwareburh where he has contacts. These would have aided him in his mission. The character and his/her mom were likely returning from a trip to Francia, where they were previously looking for a cure for mom. Likely attacked as they rounded the white cliffs near present day Dover. Good place as it is the easiest to find and intercept a ship there. After the attack, if the character was floating on debris or wreckage pretty easy to float towards the Frisian Coast on the currents.
