Block Practice

Sergeant Knight at Arms
Hello guys! I made a little something  that people can use to practice their blocks. I wouldn't call this a mod, since I didn't do anything but alter a few lines of Swadian gear and some faction lines. I just needed an alternative to the Ludus bots which I still use to practice. Sometimes I just need a little privacy though, and this can also be useful when you don't have your internet as it is not played online. All I did was alter the Swadian multiplayer units to give them 4 seperate gear combinations and then combined that with the amazing work of DogHotel's Brainy Bots. That mod makes the AI fight as close as possible to a real player, it is simply amazing. For some reason the bots can block in other sp mods I combined brainy bots with, but not here. I am no modder, so have no idea  how to fix that. (This has been fixed, you have to set block to automatic when hosting server, and then put it to my mouse movement in your personal settings. Thanks to Sean for the solution!).

4 types of bots that are in. I apologize for the low quality. I use a 1024x768 resolution monitor.

1. Download the mod then open BlockPractice.rar and drag/extract the BlockPractice folder into your Warband Modules folder.
2. Enter the game by selecting the BlockPractice module.
3. Click multiplayer then host a game.

Bellow are the settings I personally use to practice my blocks, but you can customize this to your desire. I will mark the things you cannot change with *.

4. - Map to The Arena.
    - Game type to Duel.
    - The first faction to BlockPractice.*
    - The second faction is optional.
    - Number of bots in team 1 to 100.
    - Number of bots in team 2 to 0.
    - Set control block direction to automatic. (It's important to set it to by mouse movement in your personal settings, this way the server will make the bots autoblock and you will block manually).*
    - Combat speed to Fastest. (Optional, keep in mind that the native competitive scene uses medium speed, if you train on fastest it will take you a few minutes to re-adjust to the medium combat speed once you enter native mp.)
    - Rest of the settings don't matter, click Start Map.

5. - Press F5
    - Block range to 100/100.
    - Feint change range 60/90.
    - Put kick chance to 0/0 (If you just want to focus on blocks. If you want to learn to dodge kicks, then bump it up. Keep in mind, their kick timing can be abnormally good.)
    - Weapon proficiency range 1000/1000 (This will increase speed of the attack, if it's too fast to you, you can reduce.)
    - Click Administrator panel, and start the map again.

Now you are all ready to go. The way you train is that you simply challenge the bot to a duel and you let him attack you whilst you block.

Like I said, I am no modder. If anyone can do this better than me I would be grateful. I did this a while ago, but I think this is still the latest source code. Again, much respect to DogHotel's Brainy Bots. And much thanks to Marko for helping me out with this. Check out his amazing mod here! Also thanks to Sean for the fix above! If the mod for some reason loses Brainy Bots you can merge it again, it won't break.
