Thing is, nobody amongst the candidates is suited for the job better than Vlad. Even those who very much dislike him know this.

They aren't actually, they're considered 2nd world because of the ridiculously high presence of alcoholism, STDs bringing down the population, not to mention the very big police corruption problems.

First world, second world, and third world are designations from the cold war as far as I know. First world being the western capitalist countries, the second being the communist, and the third world covering all the ones in the global south.

Just another dictator...

Do Russians have some kind of communally shared dominance fetish?

This is coming from the nation that supports the Syrian governments slaughter of their own people and veto UN action against Syria

also it grinds my gears that that party is called communists when they are clearly soviets

Dunno what your all complaining about. I think its great that the Russian government has yielded to the calls for greater transparency. Now everyone knows they're getting ****ed over.

Badum tssss.

Why is Russia considered a first-world country again?
They are?  :???:

Okay, how about the Ultra-Nationalists? I think they came in third.
Oh boy oh boy oh boy.

Yay...Nazi Russians.

Bet they'll make Stalin look like a 5yrold shoplifter.

Is it just me who got the feeling that this is a lie/conspiracy or something similar? As the OP says, why would you fraud in the elections if everyone already knows you are going to win?

The thought had crossed my mind. On the other hand I dare say they probably wanted to push the vote count over 50% so that they could call it a conclusive win.

Just the fact that Putin is unpopular in the west is a good sign. Everyone who was popular there before him was a bad leader which only made one-sided "compromises" with Americans.

For everyone who doesn't believe in communism anymore (or have never even done so), "Soviets" and "real communists" are same ****.

killing people and Authoritarianism is bad m'k
the soviets were far worse then the nazis, and that's really saying something
if your communistic goals are identical with the soviets, then you have some real issues with civilian freedoms and democracy

Not really, the soviets were nothing more than a pseudo-Autocratic Solcialist Dicatorship.

A true communist would dissolve that state and set up independant communes instead of party led states.

Edit:grin:odes, go **** yourself. At least the Soviets never tried to out-and-out destroy the ethinic peoples they had undersway.

who "real communists" are is all in the eyes of the beholder, what you call true communists are just agrarian communists
there really is no true communism because there is some many factions within it's sphere of influence

Talk **** much?
It depends on which 'philosophy' you follow really.
Frankly, I believe that Stalin and Mao were collosal perverts (Mao was one literally) to the cause of Communism and the well being of mankind.
