Blank banners (bug?)

I have some banners that are "blank" and when I use "historical banners" they seem also to get used which doesn't quite fit into the rest of my army (teutonic order).

Is there a fix to this?

I've never seen them used by NPCs in the game (unless those are the plain ones the Companions default to when you arm them with heraldic items). I presumed they were there for custom banners.

Can I delete them somehow and if yes could that cause problems?

This is not a bug. Historically, entirely army would not carry your own banner. Knights would have their own colours and peasants did not have any colours of their own, so they could use whatever.

Hence why there are those "leather" banners in the list - it's game mechanics.

Ah okay, that makes sense. So they only get used by "low tier troops"? I really like this function with the "mixed banners". Makes the battlefield look really diverse
