It's one thing to kill a guy in unmarked starting gear, and another to kill a guy in unmarked Plate armor.
I have this far never punished/refunded anyone for a kill where he considered himself "protected" because he isn't wearing heraldic. It's nothing but a loophole, and one that i refuse to encourage.
So would using hired mercenaries, in neutral armor but that have joined the faction, as espionage and/or infiltrators be OK?
They should be treated just as enemy soldier. If you want to recruit a spy, he can be a commoner, outlaw, or even part of the enemy faction.
I once played as an infiltrator. I joined one faction, on the orders of my leader in another faction, then started a war between that faction and a third one.
