Blackpowder weapons

Having played around with the very nice mauser mod, it seems gunpowder weapons are viable. It would be good to see some early matchlock/flintlock weapons more in keeping with the MB theme. I have some old blackpowder models sitting around but have absolutely no idea how to get them in game (in old NWN .mdl format). Anyone have any ideas how to do so?
 
Yay, I was hoping for similar things. Perhaps with the Renaissance weapons pack, rifles and such could also be added for future versions.
 
i can convert them to .p3d format in gmax, but i am stumped how to get to .brf. if anyone knows, it would be helpful.

Edit: if it still works with version .711, that is. I haven't checked. If it doesn't just wait for an update eh?
 
I think it currently only accepts .obj files. Which I understand (and in my experiences) are pretty common.

But like I said I can't even guarantee that it's compatible anymore. You may have to skim the thread to find out.
 
I'll eventually be doing arquebuses, pistols and muskets for my mod, but I don't think I can do them justice without muzzle flash/smoke and new animations.
 
Placeholders, future versions and upgrades, these are all viable options for putting things in now, improving later. Muzzle flashes and smoke would be beautiful and wonderful to have in the game, but I'm sure a majority of the people wouldn't mind having decent working rifles in the game before those details are fine-tuned.

Agreed. The smoke and other such things can be fine tuned later.
 
Ok, I'll put a few guns in the next version. Pistols will have to wait though, there aren't any current animations which even come close.
 
well sticking with the renaissance mod, the main battlefield weapons would be matchlocks/arquebus, primarily in rifle format. Immensely long load time and terrible accuracy :smile:

Maybe some pistols for reiters though...
