Really, how should i call a dark skinned person in non-personal sense (i.e. general description)? I have never encountered white person offended by being called white - It should be something like sense of inferiority by those who "invent" those words with rates like 1 word per year.

Almost all black people I have come across are fine with "black". A few black students at my high school even PREFERRED the term "black" over "African American".

Speaking as a black person, honestly, I prefer black to African American. For one African assumes my ancestry dates back to Africa (and it does not. It dates back to India and I am half Indian) and that I am American (which I am not. I am Jamaican.)
