I do support the right of a country to do what it takes to defend itself against overwhelming outside opposition. That is, in other words, to exist, even if it at the expense of other countries.

Diplomacy depends on reason, and you cannot fully expect reason from countries who seek to invade Israel based on *religious* grounds. I'm not saying reason cannot happen, but it would inevitably breaks down. Y'see?

Sure. I try and remove most bias from my thoughts, so I can easily see where Palestine has its rights. But to continue being unbiased, Israel, as an existing nation, is simply more capable of holding that land

Well, Israel claims the territory as its own and will fight over it.
Palestine claims the territory as its own and will fight over it.

Both people have the same claim, the same validity and the same determination.

It's either going to simmer on and continue for a long long long time leading to two bitter peoples or it'll end in the one obliterating the other. Both aren't good options. Striving for fairness and equality is a good option. And neither party gets to claim "they started it" anymore, that's counterproductive and rather pathetic.

1) What the actual ****? A mandatory state religion? And they consider themselves to have the moral high ground to their neighbours who are far less demanding in having a mandatory state religion?
2) As if most of the Jews who went to Israel after the Balfour declaration were even remotely native to the area. This of course in contrast to the Palestinians whom they forcibly removed.

Its not a mandatory state religion in the sense that anyone who is already a native citizen cant leave the religion, but, to become a citizen, you have to convert, or already be jewish. They also have laws, and protocols as to what conversian is jewish, and what is not.
