Lest we forget that many African Empires held some of the most prosperous trade hubs in the world during the Middle Ages? Also... let's also not forget that The Great Zimbabwe was a huge mercantile trade hub for the period and they've even found... wait for it... European textiles there! Gasp! How could that be so!?

Because these areas and regions were held by powerful African Empires who only cared about religion and trade. They influenced trade globally(the known world at the time), and last I checked "globally" includes Europe, my guy. Look at the map, it's not hard really.

The map is big enough, the problem is that TaleWorlds is so painfully slow at creating anything these days, let alone a whole new faction.
