Also He original said africa was not involved in medieval europe and I said that history wasnt confined to europe, so you agree with me?
I agree with you that history isnt confined to europe yes, there have been a great many civilizations to rise and fall. However this is still a game, not everyone can be represented and all the current factions are based on its predecesor so i doubt there will be any significant faction changes unless it is a mod.

I think part of the evidence of being a successful "superpower" in antiquity's terms would necessitate being able to make and maintain a system of record keeping. Otherwise they obviously weren't a major power to begin with.
The aztecs were immensely powerful yet kept no written record. Different cultures

It wasnt made up of Mongols, youre point being? I say if the Arabs and Asians are involved, then Africa is unavoidably also involved

Also. Let's be fair here. One of the reasons we know so much about the Romans and Greeks for example is because they, as a group of people, held record keeping in some esteem and as a result. We know the difference between say Macedon and Sparta because their records, military organization and cultures have some variation in them. Certian people after the fall of Rome had enough reverence for their culture and as a result kept as many records as they could about what made Rome a superpower. Unfortunately many other cultures did not write down as many records if any at all. Even still the ones that did write a comprehensive amount of things down don't usually get the same amount of reverence from their conquerors and many of those records were lost to looting. I would like to point out as well that much of what we know about the Celts, early Germans, Scythians, ect come to use from Greek, Roman, Persian and to a lesser extent early Norse historians/writers as well as archeological evidence. Many European cultures of the time wrote very little themselves. Most had no form of written word and imported their written language from others. This is why those distinctions exist is because they are attested and referred to by multiple sources. There are many if not more African tribes as well. There's just not as many records that help differentiate them for historians to go through. As a result things get muddled."

we'd know because even though they wouldn't be keeping records other nations would

This post feels like a massive bait, would not have been against an African faction until this dude started screeching racism at everything. Also there are no Chinese or Indians or Japanese in the game either is that racism as well?

I agree not everyone but there is a pretty big chunk of the world that is missing all from one continent. I also realize that it is based on the predecesor, but games should grow from what they once were. Thats what i hope at least. Idk i will buy the dlc lmao

But africans have been recorded and i dont f***ing care, they have swords and horses and i want to play as them. simple.

They would come over the gap that is literally only 250 feet between Africa and Europe. Also its a fantasy game and i just want another culture to represent a quarter of the worlds population. Is that too much?
The gap which were occupied by the Sultanate? And it's not fantasy, it's fiction, which is based around reality.
Just add them as a DLC, there's already no place left on the map to add african factions unless you expand the map to below the Aserai Sultanate.

The arms and armour are most definitely not 600-1100. Not even remotely. Not one single faction is historically accurate for any time period where they all existed together. They have improved the tech of some factions. Celts & Vikings. Downgraded the tech of others. There's no cannons or basic firearms which existed at the same time as heavy plate. Lamellar armour is mostly fantasy unless you go back to something like ancient Persia. Leather armour is fantasy There really is no valid argument for historicity when we have so many anachronisms.

The map is big enough..

They weren't all existing at the exact same time, but they're close enough (tens of years) in the same period. And their cultures DID exist at the same time.

There's no Vikings in the game, the Sturgia is the fictional equivalent of real life Kievan Rus, which existed from 882 to 1054.

Firearms existed in 1000 A.D only in Eastern countries like China. In Europe, firearms only appeared in the late 14th century.

Lamellar armor is a real thing, it's from eastern world, which is represented by the Khanate in the game.

And there are no space on the map. If the game is based on Medieval Europe, African Factions should be below the Aserai Sultanate, which doesn't exist. The eastern side of the map, as I have already said, but you ignored for some reason, is leading toward Asia. Which would probably be used for in-game equivalent of the mongol invasion, which is around 1200 A.D.

I didnt screech racism at everything. As far as i can remember i said it twice and both times i was regarding history and not the posters on the thread. Also please dont let my enthusiasm sway you from what would be a really cool addition to the game

Exactly. Thank god hallelujah. Thank you for participating, now im gonna go play as a black mongol named Charlemagne because i like the way it rolls off the tongue.

The aserai are really boring in the early-mid game if they survive until mid game they are mostly fighting empire which is a bit meh so making a faction below them would add some butter to their campaign

Sure why not. I just want african culture. if its there i dont care how.

Sorry to burst your bubble but this late into development I highly doubt they'll add an entirely new faction to the game.

@BlackRainZ
Noone wrote, that japanse islands cant be made on ocean  (but they must add ships mechanic).

Personaly i thinks that devs broke wb conception, because veagirs and nords are represent as sturgia. Thereoticaly battania (celts) go to rhodoks, which are italian theme faction (or at least i always think). Asserai in my opnion are arabic empire, so contain berbers and libyans ect.(thereotical). I dont mind in black fraction, because thats people are in character creator. Personaly i think about persian/india fraction (with elephants),chinese and on north maybe finno-ugric culture. They could add island on west ect. Theres plenty ideas but i afraid that only stay in potentialy mod section.
