What is the maximum amount of branches for a troop tree?
Bit of a dumb question but i have a reason for asking it

each unit can split into two, but if you mean how many can fit into the tree think the sky is the limit, or at least the ui i havent really hit it yet, each unit needs to be at least 1 level higher than the previous one tho

2 is the limit as 3 upgrade paths will crash your game during promotion, and it wasn’t necessary 1 higher level, you can have level 1 soldier upgrade into level 1 another soldier, I think you can even loop it if you will upgrade your soldier into itself. Not sure to the last part correct me if I’m wrong.
