Biggest speed attainable

what is the highest speed you ever attained? I have a characterat the moment who travels at 11.1 speed when he has no prisonors and has 1 pathfinding so no increases in speed for me I also have 6 saddle horses in my inventory and no troops. If anyone can tell me how to increase my speed it would be great! So anyone knows the best ways to get speed (please do not post anything too obvious like "increse your pathfinding" or "do not take troops with you") then please tel me!

My highest is about 11.3, when its just me (riding skill 6) on a hunter with no items/soldiers/prisoners

Just started a new character, back then, as a merchant - with nothing in my invetory and just my simple self (+ saddle horse and all the other stuff that Merchants start out with)

i think riding skill helps, if you're on a horse(of course, of course). and if you don't use dried meat as food, try to, speed might be higher when it eventually causes your morale to be 'above average'. also remember speed is lower at night.

15.7 is my highest so far.

Character was around 6 pathfinding, high athletics and a bunch of horses. No prisoners or followers though.

Highest with a group is in the high 7's. Doesn't seem possible to move faster than 8.1 or so once you start recruiting followers.

Well it probably depends on how many of your followers are mounted. I imagine Sword Sisters are about the fastest followers you're gonna have, what with their Courser mounts and all.

Thats not really that true...because in my game before updating i was travelling in the high 9's and i had approx. 20 hired blades and 10 dark knights. If your aiming to recruit, the best thing for travelling speed would be to have dark knights, they do wonders for travelling speed as opposed to other troops.

Want to go faster? Sell the saddle horses. Other horses only increase the speed of troops; if you're on your own, a single fast horse will guarantee you top speed.

i usually travel around 17 speed. you can only obtain high speed if your a loner or small band (10 or less?) with little to nothing in the inventory (not including what your equipt with). your speed will also increase if you keep a few extra horses in the inventory, even if you don't plan on ever using them; plus they also help reduce the effect on speed cause by a full inventory

I think that there is an average of the units in your group.

I have a band of 45 that includes and mix of Vagir/Swadian knights and some Dark Knights, a few saddle horses, and four units of dried meat, and I move around the map at about 8.8. (Oh yeah, I also have Borcha with pathfinding at 5)

If you want to be at top speed, have all of your fighters be mounted if possible, and also have high <insert name of skill that heals health on the game map>...when you or your NPCs are hurt, you go slower.
