Big battles cause crash v. 0.632

I enter a battle between vaegirs and swadians. Big parties. 77 vs. 67 I help the swadians but send my troops to reinforce instead of fighting myself. After the battle is won I pick the spoils but when I click to exit that window the game crashes. I repeated with the same results.

ive had this problem as well. i have 2 games saved one wo ht 128 days and the othere (the one ive had the crashes with) has 28 days saved. both have large battles enabled. i can collect the spoils then the return button kicks me to the the desk top. i am running xp sp2 and all other upgrades for xp. i hope this can help if you need more info about my sys just let me know.

I saw this today, too. I've started saving often. I had 81, they had 78. But I've also been in battles where they've had 124 or so, without problems, so I don't know what the specific cause is.

I've also had this problem. Typically it's in fights where I'm squaring off against 90+ enemies. You get to the spoils screen, click the exit button and then wind up on the desktop.

Same problem here - just had it happen three times in a row - first time I was joining allies to beat a large group and barely managed to win. Crashed after looting. Then I reloaded, lost the battle, went to town, recruited more men, tracked down the large party and beat them again and crashed after loading screen. Third time it was saved after the lost battle, so I went to town again and tried again with more men and won - but crashed after looting.

These crashes give no error - just quits out to the desktop. Very frustrating - I hope someone is looking into this, this is a great game otherwise!

I've had this also (and just had it again a few minutes ago). I believe that it's not the size but the complexity of the enemy. Every time it's happened to me was when there was a long list of many types of soldiers.

each time I've loaded the game it quit within about 30 seconds

please tell me why pressing 'P' to access the party screen crashes the game half the time...

hi armagon,

i posted that i had problems with this in the past, so i saved my game just before a large battle. my 63 to there 109 and yes i won with 54 left any way i tryed tricking the game into thinking i upgraded all my equipment by picking up and replacing my armor and weapon horse and food and i havent had a problem since that time.

now just to let you know after the save i fought the battle 9 times before and did nothing but reload after the game kicked me to the desktop. on the 10th time i did formentiond action and now it dosnt crash any more. yes this may be a coincidence but i thought id mention it any ways.

I've been getting plagued with this, but I gotta give this forum kudos since the bug report not only was easy to find -- but a solution is on the way
