Step one: Locate the video settings IN THE LAUNCHER
Step Two: Go to the video tab and...
uncheck anti-aliasing
set the render mode to DirectX7
set shadow quality to low
Most importantly: Change your resolution to a lower level
I don't recommend putting texture detail to the lowest setting as I have found this to cause extremely ugly effects on higher resolution armors. Textures in M&B dont seem to effect things much unless you are surrounded by large amounts of objects
I can also say that it is safe to run bodys on max so long as you have all or most of the above implemented. Even on my old 2.1x2 core computer with a Nvidea 6200 i ran 60 bodies with a consistant 30 frames.
Rag dolls dont need to be higher than 5 (2 considering the death rate on PWmod)
I would set max frame rate at your usual frame rate (on PWmod) to get rid of the eye strain that occures when ever the frame rate changes (A consistant frame rate at 25 is much more pleasing to the eye than one that jumps from 30 to 50 every 5 seconds)
Blood never slowed me down any, not even on my ancient computer mentioned above had problems with blood
The other options I admit I haven't a clue as to their function
I also kindly ask that the moderator of this childboard consider making a sticky to help the gamers without deep pockets, computers with the processing power of 40 Einsteins on caffeine, or any idea that there is a way to change graphics from the launcher
Launch mount&blade from the desktop/steam and press the 'configure' button when you see the module select window BEFORE LAUNCHING THE GAME

uncheck anti-aliasing
This doesnt do anything noticable to M&B if you arent inside a building and even then.. meh
set the render mode to DirectX7
(Removes the shiny from metal and other insignificant superficial effects to models.. thats about all)
set shadow quality to low
(Quite possibly the most ugly thing u can do to the game's graphics but really lessens the load on your processor which equals better FPS and blocking)
Most importantly: Change your resolution to a lower level
(I use 640x480 with 32 bits which is about as low as i could possibly recommend)
this option can turn Crysis into Super Mario Bros but will make you run at 40+ frames with a cheap computer. Dont use if you dont have too because changing this too low is almost bad as turning shadows to low
