Well, hello. First post and im so bold that i dare to embark on a suggestion. Its only a few suggestions, shoot me if it has been suggested befor.
1. Battlemaps
Well, i think that the battlemaps enclose like they are dosnt add up to the realisme that this game have. I suggest taking learning from the Battlecraft editor used in Battlefield 1942 (and i suppose in the other BF games). Here you have your area, not surrounder by things to stop you. But if you leave here you will be killed for beeing a deserter. Something like that i suggest for you as well. The area is not surrounded by mountains (or hills) but is in clear viewe in all directions, that is if you can see around yourself. If there are a mountain south of you, river west and nothing north and east, in the battlemap you have a mountain south, river west and plain viewe north and east. If you get to the boarders of the battlemap you get the question "leave".
2. Crouch
I think that when you have a spear, no horse, and are against a gang of horsemens, you should have the ability to crouch and hold your spear in a angle to ready the attack. As you know, this is how they did it with the pikes in real battles. I also suggest that you can command your pikemen to to this, and also order archers behind. The problem is that you might lose both pikemans and archers when they reach your lines.
3. Details
I suppose you might add this, but a larger and more living town is always good. And different sices of the towns as well.
Well, only a few suggestions. Better then nothing.
