SP Native Better Banners Mod

Sadly it seems loading better banners breaks the game for me in 113. I had no issues in earlier versions but can't seem to get past the little single bandit ambush when starting a new game with them loading.

Sad because they really are nice.
 
I just tried to install this in Warband, but I get all sorts of weird errors when I view a model, and the banner on shields and other items is missing; I can see right through the shields in fact.
 
I installed it correctly in earlier versions and never got any, new, error messages. And when I installed it in 113 I never got any error messages. The game just CTDed while I was trying to complete that first little fight during a new game.

As I said earlier its a bit sad because these are really nice banners.
 
Really ChewieBacca? Maybe I did something wrong. Mind posting when you marked with # and what you added where in the module.ini?

Also curious if they can be added to an existing game. :p hate to have to start over.

EDIT: Okay I tested myself. Before I would put the new entries right behind the ones I had disabled with #. It seems the latest patch, 1.113, doesn't like that. I tried adding the new entries at the very end of the module.ini and so far so good. I'll update if I have any other issues.
 
Several banners are not appearing, such as the golden lion on the black background. It is installed correctly.

It's quite a pain since I want one with a black background, and the tree one looks silly with heraldic mail due to the blue color it has on it.
 
Yeah I see that too, the ones from std_banners_f.dds aren't appearing in-game. Also, the lord of Durquba shows one flag on his information page (lower left corner of std_banners_a.dds) but he has a different one when he's riding around and on Durquba itself (the one from top left corner of std_banners_g.dds). This is really annoying me because it's my banner and I can't seem to find a way to change my banner. I tried editing the thing in menus.txt and that minimod but both methods crash my game before it's fully loaded.

edit to clarify for MarkQuinn:
The lord of Durquba has banner_a15 shown on his information page behind him, but the flag he rides around with and flying over Durquba is banner_f01. I downloaded OpenBRF to try and figure out what's going on, but I'm lost.
 
I haven't noticed any missing banners yet. But it's kind of annoying how the back and sleeves of Heraldic mails doesn't match. Though I'm not really sure there is anything that could be done about it.
 
It seems I'm also missing several banners. Seems all well and good up until the last block of the screenshot spoilers tab on the first post which is a tad annoying as I wanted the sword wielding Dragon as my banner. Any clues? I seem to have followed everything by the book.

I think you could rename it and replace a different set if you really wanted to. I'm missing the same ones and I'm considering doing this.

All new banners shown below in spoiler (mixed with a few of the old banners, but all have received my super duper post-process "fade" effect to make them nice and aged). :wink:

  I just realized how many lions with swords there are. :razz: Anyway, I think I'll be using some, or most, of these in Sultan's Successors. :smile: And some of Hobcobbler's aswell.

Scratch that, they're too confusing. :S
 
Please ... If you can eliminate the banner with the naked lady. I would really appreciate it.
They were charging and all I could see was 2 b00bs per shield! until they killed me!

your mod is awesome , when you install it ... and change your banner! you get (for some castles)  two banner on top of each other!

Is there any chance you can make a pack with all the default banners, but with your fade effect on them?
 
I can't get them to work. I've installed them and removed/added the lines to Module.ini and added the Resource/Texture files but I keep getting spammed by script errors in-game and the banners don't appear on shields...  :cry:

EDIT: I also get an error that it can't find banners_texture_default (or somesuch) during the loading. Is this mod compatible with a vanilla native installation of the game...?

I have the same problem.The rest works fine and some of those banners look very good.Thanks for sharing  :smile: .

ps : the more I see of your banners ingame,the more I like them .

I get this error whenever there is a shield in game and the shield is invisible where the banner should be, any help? D:
