Here is my suggestion, although it may be too late and might have to be considered for future projects
As you may know, you are able to take up the cause of a claimant and "aid" them in overthrowing the current leadership. With a series of persuasion and battles you win the war and the climax is reached. You let the claimant take rule.
But what if there was another option. An option in which one could betray the claimant and claim the throne. The claimant having legitimacy of birth, and you the legitimacy of leadership (because you led a successful rebellion). There would be a second civil war. This would add a lot of immersion to the game.
The Warband engine allows this, through the kingdom management system. So instead of ruling your own custom kingdom. You would be ruling the Vaegirs or the Swadians or whichever faction you desire. OF course the diplomacy mod would make it even better.
Opinions on this?
Note: I have not led a rebellion in Mount&Blade since the 1.011, I'm not sure if it is in Warband and I am not going to go through the trouble of countless hours to find out.
